Performance Testing

As oyster farmers we understand the cost and time pressures placed on farmers and the economic impact of constantly having to maintain and replace unreliable shellfish farming infrastructure. With this understanding our company has been rigorously testing on farm performance of the Hexcyl shellfish baskets and attachments since 2008.

Hexcyl Oyster Baskets and Clips have also undergone extensive independent Finite Element Analysis and Laboratory based accelerated Life Testing using “state of art” rapid aging testing equipment.

A key feature of Hexcyl shellfish baskets is the unique plastic materials and well as a conscious decision by our company not to incorporate degraded recycled plastic into our product range. With the use of 100% virgin material and no built in redundancy, Hexcyl shellfish baskets become almost unbreakable… even in the coldest of climates. Watch the videos below
